Under the public sector equality duty, all schools/academies must have due regard to the need to eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation and any other conduct prohibited by the Equality Act 2010; to advance equality of opportunity between those who share a relevant protected characteristic and those who do not share it and to foster good relations across all protected characteristics. When developing, reviewing and implementing policies, St Barnabas C of E Primary Academy takes into account and complies with equality legislation.
All staff at St Barnabas had training in Equality Legislation on Wednesday 17th January 2018 and are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all children.
